Well that is an interesting find. I want to see pictures of exactly where on the mountain this is and how big the ship is as well. Is The Sun, kind of like National Enquirer?

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Let me get this right these old testiment dudes are claiming:
carbon dating proves the relics are 4,800 years old — around the same time the ark was said to be afloat.
Yet you givem dinosoar bones carbon dated at 200 million years old and they say your full of crap the world did not exist back then

Im just saying, they use carbon dateing to validate something there claiming but then dont accept it when it it does not.

(people who believe in the old testiment literally I mean)

I was only being half serious (jokeing), not trying to start an arguement about religion.

They're called 'Christian Fundamentalists". They reject reality. The Earth is only 6000 years old, don't 'ya know? They're re-writing the school books in Texas Monkey Nutz, the same school books that most of the rest of this nation uses. A very dangerous crowd IMO.

Possibly, but not quite as dangerous as some other FUNDAMENTALISTS who go around blowing up the western world At least the Christian FUNDAMENTALISTS don't tend to do that.

Oh, and as every Englishman knows, you have to absolutely, positively believe everything The Sun tells you (even the boobs are fake LOL). Yes, it's a little like the US' National Enquirer

Tach.

You are almost right.
The problem your facing is how accurate carbon dating is.
1) Radiocarbon (14C) dating [1,2] is widely used to determine the ages of samples that are less than approximately 50,000 years old.
http://scienceweek.com/2005/sc050218-2.htm
Radiocarbon dating, or carbon dating, is a radiometric dating method that uses the naturally occurring radioisotope carbon-14 (14C) to determine the age of carbonaceous materials up to about 58,000 to 62,000 years.[1] Raw, i.e. uncalibrated, radiocarbon ages are usually reported in radiocarbon years "Before Present" (BP), "Present" being defined as AD 1950. Such raw ages can be calibrated to give calendar dates.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiocarbon_dating

So in the case of something that is 4800 years old carbon dating works fine.
In the case of anything over say 62000 years old carbon dating is impossible.

They won't have too. We'll do it for them unless the mainstream Catholics and Prtotestants stand up and do something about them

So you want to do to the fundamentalists what the radical muslims want to do to us. What's that make you?

The Earth is only 6000 years old,
that one is easy to disprove.
They're re-writing the school books in Texas Monkey Nutz,
got a daughter that is a junior in high school. none of the text books say anything even remotely close.

not happening.

i was commenting about the text books getting changed now as you stated above.

it is not happening.

to claim the earth is only 6000 years old is something that is obviously incorrect and easy to disprove. when it comes down to changing text books for this, it won't happen.

If god does exist, your talking about an entity thats far beyond anything that our tiny little human minds could possibly comprehend.

Where talking about the entire cosmos, all of space and time, even the universe we already know is so immense its hard to comprehend, and for all we know its only a fishbowl.

I think reduceing something on this magnitude to an old man with a beard talking to another old man with a beard on a mountain is not logical.
