Guys how much of a vibration problem does this engine, I have seen some comments posted on the web saying that this engine was not very good.
I want to use it in a Trex 700 and want to know if its going to be OK and it wont affect the electronics.

Any Recommendations

It wasn't as smooth as the HZ but it's not THAT bad, you should be good! The HZ is better all around, but nothing wrong with an SZ if you have one or got it on the cheap.

Hi bkervaski

Thanks for your reply.

I managed to pick one up a while ago for a good price and it wasn't until later I read about the many issues. Its seems that it produces great power but suffers a really bad problem with vibration. Probably why I got it cheap.

I was wondering whether others are using them and happy with them.

I ran mine for the first time last weekend and noticed quite a bit of buzzing from the frame while ticking over also while picking up the revs there was a point where the fuel stated boiling. Obviously once I picked the revs up further it went away. I balanced everything on this heli and also the engine fan.

Just wanted to know really whether this engine will destroy electronics over time, I have them installed on a single layer of Velcro at the moment. Any suggestions.

I don't remember them destroying electronics, they were the 90 engine to have for 2-3 years.

I added a HZ piston and crank to mine and it helped, you could add one of bettas dual glowplug head sold in the engine and muffler section at HF and that will really smooth it out at running rpm.

that head really smoothed out my HZ motor.

I ran a SZ for a while and it didnt vibrate that bad
