have scorpion hk3026 1600 kv has a 60 or 70 flights,

I have just replaced the ESC as the stock one burnt up when a servo jammed. I have installed the Castle Creations Ice 75 and the motor just seems to be down on power?

I have tried multiple motor settings and it still seems slower. What settings are used with the ICE 75 and 1600 kv scorpion?

How do I know if the bearings are bad in my motor, it just seems to have dropped power. I have used new batteries.

i have also disassembled the motor to check bearings and they seem to be fine not rough.

Cheers, Mark M,

The bearings are supposed to squeal when they are bad.

I have a couple of Scorpion motors with many hundreds of flights on them, and they are seemingly still good as new, but I also oil them every 5-7 flights. They have not yet started to squeal on me.

If you do need new bearings, I talked with Boca and they make some nice ceramic bearings which are supposed to last a very long time.

esc settings
I run the 3026 1600kv motor with my cc 75 ice, I use the govenor mode on set rpm mode, you have to enter your cell count, gear ratio, kv, pole count, and rpm choice. You also need to calibrate your radio to the esc. Works very well for me. With these esc's its a must to have the castle link.
