David,

Any concerns of heat soak on the elevator servo from the motor?

Also, aside from what you pointed out already, what other differences have you spotted that deviate from the frame design of the Nitro version?

Is the front radio pod interchangeable at least?

Any difference in the landing gear? Align claims it's lighter.

Hi Dan,

It is very close to the elevator servo I am sure some heat will transfer, how much I am not sure. I believe it will be OK.
I will get a temp off the servo after a flight and post it.

An update on the build progress
We had bad winds last night as a result, I spend most of yesterday, until 3:30 in the morning getting my server and phone switch back running again at my company. So needless to say I got very little done on the T-rex 700 E yesterday

It will continue tonight

I wonder why they didn't put the elevator servo aft of the main shaft and locate the cyclic axle forward of the main shaft.

i think worst case for the elevator servo will be a small piece of insulation to stop the heat transfer. imo it should be ok since that spot will likely see some pretty good air flow.

Who cares... its just money...

Hey David,

Looks nice, can you tell if the 700E canopy fits the 700N? Does anyone know?

I would pay 17 bucks for that... looks like it will really clean up, the always bird nest, appearance of series systems!

I am pretty sure you have your answer, but it is correct the nitro and Electric canopy are not interchangable to easy.

Here is the lasted update

She is alreay to fly. The CG is hard to get. I am using TP 45c 5000 packs and the lipo tray is slid all the way to the front part of the receiver tray to get CG correct.

I hope to get some test flight either tonight or for sure tomorrow.
