That motor would be okay...but I personally think the 890kv may be a better choice...

I run the 740kv's on a couple of my 10s machines...on 8s the 890 would be geared better

Ive seen the 890kv motor on 6s inn a L600 and it rips.

I agree with Jag - the 740kv is better suited to a 10S setup
On 10S you'll get the motor into a more efficient zone
and draw less current due to higher S and lower gearing
So it's easier on the battery

I'm running 740kv on 10S in my L600
I'm running 910kv on 8S in my L500

890~910kv on 8S is also a good option

My 910kv on 8S with 14T pinion (10.93:1 gearing) is pulling 100 amp peaks
So 890kv on 6S with a 17T pinion (9:1 gearing) will be sinking more current
It will certainly work but will punish the packs and shorten their life

Thats what I thought but with 30-40c packs nowdays they can now keep up with the demand and the packs come down only warm to the touch.
