Ever fly any place other than your club in public? Or just been carrying your helis somewhere and you get hit with those same two annoying questions? It could be anyone and its always the same questions : 1)How much does it cost? 2)How high does it go?....... Is it just me?

Can't remember where I saw it but there was a t-shirt that gave all the answers someone could possibly ask you about helis as you fly. These were the phrases......

Before You Ask

* Yes It Does Fly
* Higher and Farther Than You Can See
* About $1,000 to Get Started
* 70 MPH
* 10 Minutes
* Yes, It Isn't Easy But You Can Learn
* Get a Computer Flight Simulator
* About $200 Each Time
* It Is Alcohol and 30% Methanol
* No...You cannot Try to Fly My Helicopter
* Please Do Not Talk To Me While I Am Flying

You can get one from Ron's I believe.

I have one, but almost always fly at the club field so I never whip it out.

Yeahh....
How about when the COPS show up...
Stand right next to you while your flying of course...and say
'Have you ever crashed?'

Of course, at that exact moment since your flying at the park and your not sure of local ordinances, which makes you twice as nervous and you actually crash!

No more parks for me!

Luckily my local cops only come out to watch and not to harass!

P.S. I wont even gointo unleashed dogs that assume its their newfangled chew toy!

Fly, Fly then Fly some more!!

LOL
I always mutter back its around $100 bux..... They don't need to know exact costs of heli/electronics/controller.. Funny how two words 'Around $100' shuts ppl up for the time being...

Plus i really would never tell someone its over $1,000 and have them drool to have YOUR heli...You never know who's a crackhead these days!

Fly, Fly then Fly some more!!

The most original for me was when one day I was spinning the main rotor checking my drivetrain when a spectator came up to me and said -

"Are you winding it up for the next flight?"

ROFL I wish I had a wind up heli that would save a lot of money

How high does it go is my favorite one.

Sometimes I want to say it goes to exactly 10568 feet and 2 inches...but than I would piss them off I guess

Fly it like you stole it!!!

The best question IMO is when I spool my 600N, they see the smoke and still ask "Is it gas or electric?" I just answer "it's both".

i got those last time i flew... i tell them too much so they dont know... i also work in about how tight the rc community is and if something is stolen its easy to find the person cause it can be traced back... just to make sure nobody tries to break in my apt
