I run 500s on a 1100Kv motor and love it. Running 2100ish head speed on a cheapo 75amp esc (align) I really like the combo. It will fit 3700-4000 Mha 6s batteries and Im getting 4:30 of pretty hard sport flying. Go 6s.

You should really run something around 1100KV unless you are looking to go to 4 or 5S packs. I ran my L10 (now stretched to use 550s) with a 1100KV Z-30 motor and a align 75 amp ESC and it ran great. It flew well when I was using 500s with a 6S 3700mah. I am now running 550 blades, the same motor and a CC Ice 100 ESC, 6S 3700-5000mah batts and it flies even better. I would pick up a used Z-30 motor (usually $50 or less) and go ahead and stretch it to 550s. It flies better and has more presence in the air. My flying buddy has a Z30 he'd probably sell cheap if you are interested let me know and I'll ask him.

Yes it will work just pinion it down as we have converted 2xL400 with Hacker A40 1350kv (L400 motor) to L10 swinging 500 blades this side and it rips

Heres some reading.

Hi wing

Way overkill and HEAVY but it will work. Why dont you just cut down the plastic head and use all other existing parts.
