I'm curious to know the parts interchangeability between this and the T700N...

or, any new news on an Align conversion kit.

Pfff the 120HV does not cutoff at 80A in gov mode, the only way anything like that would happen is if there gearing was poo and they were too low in the partial load range.

60A average with big spikes won't make the kontronik shutdown.

I would say yes, if you are going to use the stock motor and gearing.

Ive used the HV45 on a 600e on 12S so 80HV on the 700 should be fine.

60% of the time, it works every time!

Could you measure the ESC tray area in the back (width) so I can determine if a CC HV 160 will fit there? This thing is a monster.

The CC ICE 160 is 2.8" (71mm) long x 1.3" (33mm)wide x 0.9" (22.9mm) tall.

If the width between the frames is 1.3" or more I'm good

Waiting for my 700E should be here tomorrow or next day

I only crash due to random planetary intervention

I'm hearing reports that if build as per the manual that the heli will be significantly tail heavy. Have you experienced this?

I read about cg issues and swapped the batteries so they hang out the front with the big strap there and the small strap moved to the back. Balance was slighty tail heavy but not bad at all. I think with the canopy it will be pretty close.

That HV160 is a monster! I'd bet your heli will come out tail heavy.

I'm going to run mine on HV80 since the HV120 won't come out until late May. And if I really like this bird then I'll fork out the Euro and upgrade to a Jive.

There is a different main shaft for flybar and flybarless 700e. I think the flybar one is the same as the 700n.

Stock canopy is narrow, gives it a very streamline look. Very nicely done.

Align did extensive testing with the ICE 80 so that seams to be the recommended ESC. The 110 is more expensive and the ICE series is a more modern design and has the data logger and a lower price. I have several CC ICE ESC’s and the data logger is very useful in fine tuning your setup and optimizing throttle curves or the governor mode.

The HV110 would be an excellent choice if you already have one or can get a good price on one.
