It sounds like the price point is very good and should compete nicely with the Rave Env. The 90 electric class is going to be huge this year. Now if only the batteries would get cheaper.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

You should try the Hyperion EX 5000mAh 45C cells which should be available from next week.

I'm afraid I can't comment on the price but they are cheaper. Strangely they also weigh less than the other brands even though they are split-wired packs! It will be interesting to see whether this is a good thing or not

Parts supply was the main reason why I never got one of the nitros.
Strange, I know a lot of guys with Aurora 90's and they never seem to have any problems getting parts. RC-Direct and Heliproz and sometimes directly from HeliWholesaler or CarbonXtreme.

Well this isnt something recent I looked into them a few years back and that was still the case.

There are some cheap packs out there that may be a little heavier but for the cost you cant beat them. Especially in a crash ruining a $200 battery versus a $70 battery. I have been using 2x 6s Zippys 30c 5000mah packs and they run about 70 each. I also bought some of the 25C packs to compare to and they run 40 each for the 6s 5000.

I guess it's impossible to buy the 6S 5000mAh non-split packs now?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but what do you mean by a non split pack?

It has something to do with regulations that make the larger packs not "bricks" but rather two smaller packs wired together. I have not bought one yet, so I'm not really sure what is going on with it.

I have one of the 30C 6s 5000's that got damaged in a crash a while back. One cell got damaged so I cut it apart so I could save the remaining cells before it completely failed. I can take a picture and show you how these are made if you would like.

Heres the battery with one cell cut out of it. The voltages were good on all the remaining cells so I figured I would save them incase I ever needed a spare down the road.

I stand corrected, supposed to be the second week of May (even though it was originally supposed to be next week), we'll see what happens.
