People always say it: Listen to your heli, it will talk to you when something is wrong.
Well today I took the Freya out to dust it off a bit and right o the first flight, I heard a buzzing sound that I thought was coming from the tail rotor. I landed and checked the tail belt, and tail boom, the tightness of the tail blades and the play of the blade grip. Found nothing.
Went back up and for several passes, did not hear the buzzing sound. Then the sound came back, but before I could bring it in to land, the heli started pirouetting. I hit throttle hold, but I still need to practice getting the piro maneuvers under control, so the heli hit on it's tailboom almost vertical. There seems to be some hidden damage, but I don't think is that bad.
Since I have a few aircraft on the build table, not counting a project out in the garage, this heli went straight to the shelf. Will look at it later when I have the time.
Keep your feet on the ground, but your eyes on the sky.
