Yesterday I put a few flights on it and it worked fine. Today it is not happy. Brand new trex 700 with align servos, align gov with 8717,switchglo y'ed with the gov, 2s 2000 fairly new lipo plugged directly in the vbar with satellites(charged to full after every flight), and a spectrum reg on the tail. Vbar is mounted using the commpressed zeal tape method.

First flight today after 6 minutes I notice the tail is wagging during tail first inverted flight so I just land. It not really a wag its more like a uncontrolled banging back and forth with not equal side to side movements. Second flight after 5 minutes the same thing happens upright except now the cyclic is doggy. The cyclic is no longer locked in and there is a noticable delay between stick input on the cyclic and heli reaction. Next flight lasted 4 minutes before the same thing happens, last flight of the day was only about 3 minutes. It performs flawlessly in the first minutes of flight then its like I flip a switch. Battery is taking less than 500mah per flight. under 300 for the last one. I have led volt meter on the side and its not dropping at all on inspection after landing.

Any ideas?!?

*****Edit**** New sensor installed and all is well
*****Edit again**** New sensor is doing the same thing.

Did you check to see that the sensor is plugged all the way in? Maybe working it's way loose. Not sure but worth a look. Also any chance the lipo is croaking on you?

Checked all connections, they are all tight including the sensor. Will try a new lipo although this one is new and holding voltage well.

Edit - put a wattmeter on this one. The most amps I got out of it was 6 and after 10 minutes of beating on the bench it the lowest voltage I got it down to is 7.9V. Lipo is strong as I thought.

that exactly what we had on the 600n and 700n, went spartan tape/metal plate/thin tape, no strap and its great now, both of them, try it!
Also make sure the sensor wire isnt waving around in flight and just has a little slack near it but dosnt tug on it, i had a near miss with a tree due to that as it made it almost uncontrollable when the rotor wind hit the loose wire and wiggled the sensor.

Check your cyclic servos
If there was a vibration issue, then I think your problems would've started from the beginning of the flight instead of a few later.

Aside from the tail issues, I noticed the same behavior when a cyclic servo started to go bad. When the servos were cool at the beginning of the flight, everything was fine, but as the flight progressed, I noticed sluggish cyclic and collective response. The servos seemed fine on the bench until I put some force against the bad servo. I had a binding issue with the bad servo that ruined it after a few flights. Seems to me that if the machine fails to respond because of a bad servo, the system then holds back on the cyclics.

put the spartan plate on. COuld not even leave the ground. The thing just goes all spastic on spin up. So I guess I have a vibration problem. How do I get rid of it?

Bad Vbar sensor. Had the same type of issue where it appears to fly good for 3 to 4 mins. then uncontrolable tail and cyclic. Tried everything then switch sensor with other heli and problem fixed. Put bad sensor in other heli and problem followed.

My bad sensor is currently on it way to german so they can confirm the problem I already confirmed with a replacement sensor.

I had the same problem as Shane mentions, only it was just the tail gyro that died. Sensor on way to Germany.

fly a rubber heli - it's cheaper!

Spoke to ReadiHeli and they said the Align Gov would not work with the Vbar used with satellites because it requires radio programming. I needed to use a Multigov because it does not have radio programming. I don't know if this is true, but that's what they said.

they are cornfused.
Throttle goes into collective
Gov sens goes into Rudder
rudder is output of channel 5 (6 in the software) then it acts like any other radio, Multigov or align gov, doesnt matter

bought a brand new motor and put it in, dont even get to half stick before it starts spazzing out. Must be the sensor.

Could be the sensor. I had the same problem with my 450. I put a metal plate for a sensor mount. The mount is very important. Also I had an extension on the power (esc) which I removed. This solved the problem. You may need multiple and short 22 ga servo wires to deliver the power. I'm going to try a kiwi pass through regulator on my 600 so I can get power to the vbar via several servo leads.

Send the unit back for checkup, even if it should turn out to be something else, you need to trust your electronics 100%.
