This was my second flight. Still breaking in the motor. Being easy. Just circuits,FF , backwards flight and piro's. About six minutes into the flight doing stationary piros. I saw one tail blade, then the second fly off. Hit throttle hold. No damage besides the bolt that snapped off in the tail hub and the other blade grip blew apart. Only running 1650 rpm for now. Until shes broke in.

I know I didnt over tighten them because they tend to get notchy on this design. So I left them loose with red lock tight. So they werent notchy.
Is there a upgraded tail hub? So I can fix this issue. I thought I had the newest one. Heres some pictures of the hub.

By the way the heli flies solid no trim on anything. Hoping I can get some flights without any issues

CX1,
Have you tried this tail hub and grips? No problems with it on the V50 C?

You have the Upgraded Hub. But unfortunately, sometimes Bolts do break. Sometimes at the darndest times.

Let me ask you a couple questions. Even thought this was the second flight, had the tail of the Helicopter ever hit the ground? Hard landing, or just a bit of grindage in the grass on take off, or anything? If so, this can be the culprit.

Sometimes these "Hardened" bolts can break for no reason. I have had many tails, on many different machines, break for no reason at all. I know it doesn't make sense, and I agree that it shouldn't happen, but unfortunately it does. If you didn't hit the tail; ever, then you may have just gotten a weak bolt.

All in all, it is no big deal. Send me a PM and I will see what I can get done for you. It is just a tail Hub, but I would like to help out if possible. You are also going to want to change the Tail Shaft. When an unbalanced condition occurs, it can bend the tail shaft, pretty darn easy. Shoot me a PM.

Hope this helps

Craig
