Try a 35C or better rated battery pack.

The Pro has a 14T pinion which is a very hot setup with lots of headspeed, I can heat up my 40C packs in just over 3.5 mins on mine! Changing to a 13T pinion would give you about 30 seconds more flight time and your batteries would be much cooler. I would change mine to a 13T if it wasn't so much fun on 14T!

60% of the time, it works every time!

i run a hyperion 35c 2600mah pack an imo they are perfect for the stock 450 pro.

you have to place them on the battery tray just right to get the canopy on but they ballance perfect and give you about 6min of 100% throttle 3d flight and come down warm to the touch maybe 90F tops. which is fine since about 140F+ is when your lipo's start to get abused.

thats what i understand as far as temp levels go

Who cares... its just money...
