Looks like the tail is 68mm. Sorry if it's already been mentioned

Anyone know if that's too big for the Pro? If it is (more than likely) I hope Align makes them in 61mm for us people not ready for a new bird.

Yes I have slant cut, the 12T is close to 10:1 so it's like running a 15T on the straight cut, the 1700KV is low for Castle users, it is OK for me, cause I like a lower HS than the "smack fliers". If you want to run up over 3200 it will give warnings... The Mini Blue is awesome on the Pro, it boarders on vibration issues, where I have it mounted, as it sees raised and extreme quite often. But still performs well...

The Gens Ace 30C 1200s are a good fit under the stock canopy, but I think they are mislabeled... they are more like 1050s, I have had them to LVC and they never take back more than 825mAH?

he Mini Blue is awesome on the Pro, it boarders on vibration issues, where I have it mounted, as it sees raised and extreme quite often. But still performs well...
I chased my tail quite bit trying to get rid of the vib warnings on my Pro. I spool mine without the blades every rebuild to if there are any vibs. I've found out of balance tail blades, tail blades with egg shaped bolt holes, and a bent torque tube. I find an extra TT support bearing helps.

I do agree though, the vbar tolerates vibe well.

The skinny turnigy 6s packs fit under the dfc canopy without cutting the frame and seem to have a honest capacity rating. I put back 1013 once. I fly mix of 3200, 3400 rpm. That pack did eventually puff a little though

Trexwilly, if it's hitting lvc and you only put 825mah back in it's either that the lvc is set too high or the packs are on their way out and the voltage is dropping too low in flight.60% of the time, it works every time!

I think the Gens Ace 1200 30C are labeled wrong, they are likely 1000-1050mAHs

Tell me how a battery that has 1200mAH, and is a 30C can weight 176g?

Maybe Gens Ace gets their cells from the same guy who sold Jack the bean stalk beans? They are magic cells?

That is light! They should be the equivalent weight of a 3s 2400 pack which should be at least 200g!60% of the time, it works every time!

That's what I'm saying, they are sold as 1200s but i really think they are more likely 950-1050...

I have eight, and I have flown them all down to 10% and they never take back more than 850mAH. using the charger to adjust my flight times I was trying to get to 960 used, 80% of 1200, never happened?

Hobby Partz sell a 40C that is 236g and they are very clearly bigger! I have 1300 NT and they are in the middle 207g and about the right physical dimensions too. So my opinion of the Gens Ace 6S 450 packs... the 30C are over labeled, the 40C are under labeled... the 40C are more likely 1400... And the 30C are 1050s... It's not game changing news, just nice to know that the numbers don't jive!

Willy, I find many lipo brands overstate discharge ratings and understate capacity. A 30c 1200 could very well be a 20c 1500, they both could do 30 amps. They both could be the same tooHeli-itis sufferer.

Yes but these I am finding, are not pushed anywhere near the current limit, but they are coming up way short on capacity...

They are labeled as 1200, but are only yielding >1000 mAH?

I wonder what you could pull out of them at 1C.

At least they gave you a honest (kind of) c rating. Usually, the c rating is fudged and the capacity somewhat correct.

I think I have been over discharging them the whole time I have been using them, because of the mislabel... Really my bad, I should have been more careful of the readings on the chargers... If I had looked I would have seen they where showing 10 and 5% at the start of charge...
