Wow that battery is huge.. Ya 1300mah is the ticket here. It gives me 4:20 of hard flying with room to spare. I run a HS of 3420 governed with stock main gear and a 13t.

Ya use one satellite if they will bind. I only use one on my 450's.

Anyone have any experience using the Pulse Ultra 1350mah 35C 6S packs? Just got 3 today and they don't fit under the canopy. No matter how you position the pack it just doesn't fit. You have to literally stuff the wires under the canopy which would just cause it to crack. The wires are a much thicker gauge than the Turningy's and the Voltz. Just got them and I'm a little aggravated that they don't fit. I don't really care to fly my heli naked.

Did you cut the frame down?

Nope. It's a box stock V1 airframe with a regular Fusuno Canopy. The Voltz 1300's fit under it perfectly, and I've been running it that way since I bought the heli. One of the Voltz cells went bad and I only had one left. So...I bought 3 of the Pulse Ultra's. I figured being that the Pulse Ultra's were more like a stick pack they would be better. Turns out not so much.

You have to modify the frame by cutting down where the battery strap goes. just use the slot for the cut line and it should fit.
Somewhere on this thread there is a photo of the mod. 6 cells on this heli makes it rock!

The battery it self fits under the canopy no problem. The wires are a much thicker gauge than on the Voltz.

The price is attractive on that Pulse battery.. The C rating might be a little low.

The Pulse is 1350 mah and 35c? How is that low. There are no batteries I know of that are 6 cell between 1200 and 1300 mah with more than 35c discharge. If there were I would have bought them. Though they still wouldn't fit so same dilema.

I build 6s 1300 mah packs from Turnigy Nano 3s packs. They are 45 to 90c rated. If you really push the 25 to 35c batteries they tend to puff and run very hot. I have seen over 150 degrees on 25c packs. My Volts 35c pack works well but is a little puffy.

NQNA,

you are puffing packs on a 6s 450pro ? What headspeed/pinion/motor are you running ?

On my Embla's I tried 12t, 13t and 14t pinions with a 2010kv motor. Governed:
- the 12t did not have enough headroom.
- the 13t gave the best combination of holding a 3200 headspeed and having the lowest current draw.
- the 14t because it was still governed to 3200 gave the same performance and the 13t, however drew more amperage because the motor couldn't run at it's optimum speed.

If you are puffing packs on 6s, you are either 1)flying the he** out of that poor little heli, or 2)your pinion might be a little high.

If #1, please ignore this post and post some vids !

I'm running the Scorpion 2010kv motor on a 13t pinion with a governed HS of 3425. Flight timer is set for 4mins 20secs.

Hmmm. I'm running the same motor and pinion, except governed to 3200 for 5 minutes. I'm currently using Outrage NRG 35c 1300mah packs that have one full season of flying on them and show no signs of puffing at all.

I've been through some fbl tuning issues on my 410m equipped Pro Trev helped me through. I highly recommend better servos. Don't forget Airtronics 94809s, they don't look sexy like the MKS servos but I have >100 flights on my 94809s. They still have no slop in the gears! Awesome servo.

I love the hitech 5065 on the 450. Plus the hs65 carbon gears fit so it lowers crash cost a good bit.

Love my 4S, cant see how a 6S would trump it. Excess power is excess power.

Coming from 4s to 6s I can tell you 6s feels lighter and more powerful.
My 4s had 787 watts peak but my 6s birds both feel like they have more punch. It's the best of both worlds, the power of 4s and the lightness of 3s.

I have 3s 4s and 6s..

At the end of a 4min 20sec flight, the 6s is the only one that will have the same rpm and power that the flight started with.

The machine rarely hits 100% throttle and I run a 3425 head speed.

Don't get me wrong the 4s is a much better setup than 3s.. I flew 4s for years.
