You can't even compare them. Trex500 is a smaller heli. Uses 425mm blades. Logo 500 uses 500-550mm blades. It is a much bigger heli, has higher quality, and flies much bettter.

Logo400 and Trex500 are equal size helis.

If you mean a choice between the Logo 400 and Trex 500, I've owned both. Go with the Logo 400. It flies better IMO, and the geometry was developed specifically for the Vbar. I only made minor adjustments from the preset model in the Vstabi software and this thing is locked in. I love the way it flies. The quality and fit and finish is also better. Because the mini Vbar uses Spektrum satellites, the wiring is very simplistic and clean. My friends literally asked me where were all the wires. Kinda funny. Just make sure that you ground the boom to the motor mount and you won't have any problems at all.

If you do all the upgrade that you needs to make your Trex 500 (TT, V-bar, Head, new canopy to fit the larger batteries) into a flybarless, I guess that you will find that a Logo 400 is cheaper than Trex 500.

The only thing I upgraded my L400 with is the carbon tail gear box.

I know have 2 Logo 400. Every time I go to the field other comment how nice the L400 flies. Even those that own a Trex 500.

Go for the Logo 400.

Two completely different machines, love my T500 but I really love my Logo 500Se. I go for the Logo 400 v-bared.

I've done vbar conversions on both l400 and 500 rex and they fly pretty much the same with vbar but heres my take on it. 3 L 400's at our field has now been converted to L10's by adding slightly longer boom, belt blades etc, still using hacker motorset that comes with 400 but 15t pinion, and tell you what the 10 is streets ahead of 400 or 500 rex in terms of overall flight performance.
So in terms of cost i'd say go 400 vbar kit with hacker motorset, and if you dont specifically want to use the smaller machine upgrade to the 10.
It's a great pity that mik dropped the 10, it's imop one of the best heli's to further progress from general sport flying into 3d due to superb performance and low repair bills.

Common sense may not be common after all
