Only if you live in Bedrock and have the last name of Flinstone!

The pumpkins (KTM) have taken over the offroad world, not mx side though. Yes I bleed orange.

yeah, those Katooms have come a LONG ways since they first came out. Actually 4 strokes period. My bud has a CR450 that almost takes my arms out of the sockets. So much more power that my RM250 it's not even funny.

hahaaa... You sure it's not the other way around?? I have two friends I ride with regularly with KTMs. An 06 450EXC and 07 525EXC. They are sick nasty bikes - when they're running. Most of the time though they're checking valves, fixing hydrolic clutch lines that are leaking, trying to get them started by kicking because the batteries are shot, stopping because they're boiling over, etc. It seems like there's always a problem with either of their bikes when we go ride.. Sometimes minor, sometimes sending them home crying..
I also ride with a couple WR 250s, a CRF250X, KLX250, KLX351 (mine), KLR250, KLR650, and the two KTMs have WAYYYY more normal mechanical probs then any of the other bikes *combined*.

I'm not saying KTM's suck, they don't.. I like them. I'm just saying they're a lot more finicky then the jap bikes from what I've seen

Whatever you ride, have fun, ride safe.

Them 4 pokes are cool until you ride a CR500 or KX500 .I have a pretty much brand new 2001 CR500 I bought off craigslist for $900 that needed a new ring and piston.I put a new jug, piston, ring, Boysen Rad Valve with a FMF fatty pipe and im scared of it .I could roll on the throttle in 5th gear and it feels like 1st again ..Im not in the shape to ride it anymore but its funny as hell to watch my brother or buddys ride it .If I remember right,it makes around 65-70HP at 6,000 rpm's stock..

I love my Banshee with FMF pipes I remember when the only pipe everybody talk about was DG pipes. I think the FMF sound is awesome.

Also, I have two Polaris. One is a 4x4 Sport Man 335 and a Trail Blazer 250 with a DG pipe, For going into the moutains and crossing rivers, etc I prefer the Polaris. You can crooss a river at very low RPM, going slow and the torque is there...... With the Banshee that thing has to be screaming at Hi RPM in order that this thing come to live.

I usually use the Banshee in the beach and is awesome.

hell yeah!!! CR500's are the funnest bike ever to ride. Over the years a few of my friends have owned one at one time or another and it was always a treat to throw my leg over one. We used to have a lot of high speed sand riding here, and there was nothing like being almost pinned in fifth gear and still have the power to loft the front wheel when you needed to. By far the funnest to ride, but in a 2 hour hare scramble, they flat wear you out with all that power. Tough as nails too. Top ends last forever.

ISAAC - Banshees are death machines!!! So faast. Had a good friend that had one and it seemed everytime I rode it, it threw me. Not a great woods machine, but man were they fun on the open stuff!! I know a few guys here that have them set up for the mud/sand drags at a local track.
