I flew with a friend of mine today and he had his TREX 500 spin out of control on him while hovering about 20 ft. That was the weirdest thing, but I have had it happen to me before as well.

HI bhoff,
In my last reply to your problem it may have seemed like I was talking about your servo, when in fact I was referring to your transmitter. My 450 did the same thing before I even got to fly it, so I took it to local hobby shop and he fixed it through the transmitter ( DX7 ). I hope you resolve your problem soon, and let us know what it was.

Judt so you know just because your tail servo is new does not mean it can not be bad, it would not be the first time an align tail servo was bad out of the box.

i reversed the gyro that made it worse...its weird, i hold it in my hand spool it up and as i get to about 40% throttle the servo is all workin and then i hit about 55% and its like the servo or gyro or something \does not affect the tail but yet the servo is still moving all the way back and forth when i use the rudder, its like it all works fine but then the tail just stops functioning, im not sure what that is

Hi bhoff,

I had to scroll through my menues on my DX7 to find out what LHS tweaked to fix problem. I origionally had input select set (aux.2 Inh) and (gear gyro) which allowed me to use gyro sense menu to set up gyro gains. I noticed now input select had been changed to (aux.2 gear) and (aux.2 gear). My gains are controlled by the gear channel end point (travel adjust) which are +65 and -100 for my set up. My rudder sub trim is 0, and rudder travel adjust is L 100 and R 100.
