I currently run a futaba 611/9256 setup and it is rock solid on my Trex 600 ESP. The manual says the tail servo can only be run with the 611 so I'm going to assume this to be the case. Has anyone gotten around this with any of the flybarless systems? If I do need a new tail servo then which one is going to be a good one compatible with most FBL systems for my 600? I am in early stages of research on FBL and am leaning towards vbar or the new skookum 720. Any input would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Roger

9256 works fine with most FBL solutions as long as they can handle 720us pulse, which most can (VBar, Skookum, 3G etc.)

yes, i use the same one on my 3G
your servo is a 720 pulse rate which means its a good servo (faster) and will be a good addition to any flybarless heli size .50 or larger.
all you have to do is after you figure which fbl system is the best for you, look into the manual for the system and determine how to set the unit up to use a 720pulse rate servo, on the vbar it is as simple as clicking a setting on the computer, on the 3G it is all about pressing a tiny button on the unit itself and moving your throttle stick left or right
which unit to choose is all about your personal preference, if youre the type of pilot who wants to tinker and adjust and have banking for alternate settings go with vbar, if you want to fly the unit right out of the box, try 3G or Total G.

I know it will work with the SK720. It is one of the presets in there.

It will work with almost all of them, vbar as said for sure it will.
