I have the x9303 radio and I need a receiver for a Trex 500 I am putting together so what is the minimum size I need to run it with the gyro function and everything? I think the gyro runs on ch7 doesnt it so would that be the best or should I use a smaller one on this bird? AR7000 or Ar6200 or ? And are all the receivers fixed as far as brown outs and reconnect and stuff, I heard some people are having problems with the 6200 as far as glitch type problems?

You only need a 6 channel rx for the 500. I've been using a 6200 on mine for a couple years without a problem. I'd be comfortable using any of the spectrum 6 channel Rx's on the 500.

Will the 6 ch receiver allow me to use the gyro function in the radio or will I have to use the endpoints?

Kingair where are you located in Utah I don't run across to many that fly in Ut.

6 channel will allow you to use the gyro setting or endpoints, your choice on that setup. The gain is on channel 5.

I'm just outside St. George. There are several of us down here that fly together.

The X9303 and a 6 channel RX will ONLY allow you to control the gyro gain using the GEAR switch, Channel 5. The gear channel endpoints would set the gain.

With the X9303 and a 6 channel RX, you CAN'T use the gyro menu as it expects the gain lead to be plugged into channel 7 of the RX.

The DX7 will let you use either CH5 OR CH7 with the Gyro menu.

You should probably be able to use the Flight Mode Switch to control gyro gain, simply go to your X9303 setup menu and enable CH5 to work as a GOVernor. Plug the gain lead into channel 5 (again, only option here).

Go to the Governor menu and set up your gains. Numbers greater than 50 should select HH mode, numbers less than 50 should select Normal mode.

Gains would then be selected via the Flight Mode Switch.

Go with the AR7000. More solid on the casing. Also you can use the gyro ports on either CH5 or CH7.(For CH5,gear to gear on gyro for 9303tx)

The trex500 only use 6CH Rx.

You should rotate the Sat Rx by 90 degrees IMHO
