Looking for someone that can give me feedback on the raven. I am thinking it is not a big 3d 50 but a good stable flying dependable heli and very affordable. Am I right or wrong, I respect opinions so they are welcome too. I saw one fly a few years ago and just looked at them in the site, are they the same or are they changed up from what they used to be? Thanks!

There is no such thing as up, it's all out...

A buddy of mine has one but doesn't fly it anymore. He said cyclic was a bit slow. If price is a concern then take a look at the ElyQ and Frenzy.

lots of people do, i am one. check out the Century forums.

The Raven is every bit as capable of 3D as ANY other 50 machine. Slow cyclic is a setup issue, not the heli itself.

the Century heads use the bell hillier mixer, which make the heli fly in a very stable manner, but also be agile at the same time, few others share this feature.

the current one is the NX50, just the Raven with minor tweaks like G10 frames vs aluminium, and servos mounted differently. pictures of both are in my gallery.

Yea, you'll like the new NX50. If you want 3D performance, just put lighter paddles on it.

The government cannot give you anything without first taking it from someone else.

I don't own one, but I have flown a friend's. Great flying heli. Very stable, and with lighter paddles a fast 3d machine.

I too am a Raven flier. Now have the NX. I can't say enough good about this machine. They crash well, they fly great, and they're cheap to buy/own. They're low maintenance too. They've got plenty of spunk to do all the 3d you'll ever want. I can piroflip, tic toc, do rolling circles, you name it with mine. Slow cyclic is a setup issue as Furious said. In fact with their metal head the flybar ratio is even adjustable!

Raven is my #1 go to heli. I love my Raven

If it can't hover, it ain't worth flying.

I have a Raven and an NX. IMO one of the most under rated helis out there. Fully blingable if your into that but does fine stock. Love em both and the price is right.
IMO the NX changes made all the right moves and its my favorite of the pair.

Been flying Ravens since the very first one came out. Can't say enough positive about it. You can get plenty of cyclic by just setting the heli up for it. However, if you want it to jump just add the long balls all the way around the inner swash and use the 20 gram (white) MA paddles.

The older I get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.

I have 3 ravens and 2 nx's great machines just as capible as the any other 50 I've owned several other 50's.as was already said it is very fast on cyclic with the correct setup yet still tame around center stick so really the best of both.
This spring I got 3 nova rossi 57's for my fleet of raven,nx's, and I must say they go perfect with the lower gear ratio that these machines use, with the rossi 57 it has it's peak power at 18500 instead of 17000 compared to all the other 50 class.Witch means it is in it's power at 2200 headspeed and it will pull 14/14 pitch all day long at that headspeed,as you can imagine it is a beastOne of them has a flybarless unit on it and it blows all my 700's out of the watertotally insaneThe only thing I've flown that can match it is my 600e 12s 4000plus watt heli's.

Century heli rep. To much power is never enough.
