Well I finally got around to weighing my 6HV today! I was glad to find out that my 6HV is lighter than a Logo 600 equipped with a Vbar! Here are the pics! Enjoy Here are the with and without canopy.

Pretty small packs, what's the weight without packs, but everything else?

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

That's actually heavier than a logo 500 se with a 6s 5000mah (same weight and power density as your 12s 2500mah).
They're usually around 6.5 to 6.9 pounds.

It's certainly lighter than some logo 600's though, although those helis generally are packing considerably more battery (and power ).

on average two 6s 2500 mah packs about about a quarter pound heavier then one brick. so they are about the same weight helis.

Team take it easy

Close enough that it doesn't really matter anyways.

I'd sure like to see a flybarless headed 6hv combo offered.
The current (flybarred) combo deal is a very nice value.

There will be in the future a Flybarless version offered.. The 6HV motor outputs 4HP.. Thats more than a 90 size heli

That's about what folks are running for power in the 6s 5000mah logo 500 setups.
The 600's are generally between 4000 and 6000 watts.

Any eta on the flybarless headed version of the 6hv ?
I wouldn't mind trying one out, just for giggles.

Bare in mind this is 12s! The higher voltage less wattage is measured.. due to less amperage.

Oooookay,
Wattage is derived from amperage x voltage actually.
There are effeciency gains from using higher voltage, so a bit less wattage gets wasted as heat. But the gains are only on the order of 10% from 6s to 12s in the 3000 watt range.

Flying a 10s Logo and the 6HV the 6HV loads up less.. That was with a Scorpion motor.

Lots of variables there: pitch range, headspeed, governor (kontronik ?), blade type, battery type/size/condition, etc.
Battery condition is especially important.

I can tell you for certain that a solid 10s setup in a logo 600 is well over 4000 watts, and does not "load up" at all at 14 degrees of pitch on 600mm blades. Less than 100 rpm of head speed fluctuation throughout a flight.

I'm not really sure where were going with all this though ?

were not going anywhere.. Weighing a Logo 600 Vbar with a 10s battery, and the 6HV with a 12s battery, the 6HV comes out lighter from what I have seen as well as flies the same or better with the flybar
