Just thinking about upgrading my old s148 on the throttle. I've upgraded to digitals almost everywhere else, and I happen to have this s9253 laying around, it only makes 22oz. of torque but I don't think it would be a problem for the throttle. Thanks in advance for the help. Dan.

I went to clunkers on my MA's
For the only reason the throttle linkage telegraphs alot of vibration right into the output shaft. I think one has a 148 and the other has a 3004. I don't recommend any good digital - just a robust clunker that doesn't mind having it's teeth rattled.

throttle
for some reason vibration kills throttle servos, the old Futaba S-148 indirect drive seems to hold up pretty well.

OK, I seem to have a hard time with if "it aint broke dont fix it" lately. I guess because I'm used to always having to fix something on my other helis. This gasser is sure nice. Lots of flying, no REQUIRED fixing (Yet!).

The 1005 is a workhorse
It will most likely keep on flying until you dork it. You could use the 9253 but if the 148 is working why not keep it there?

Enjoy the bird and log lots of flights!! Mine at the moment has been a test bed, but soon I need to get it finalized so I can take it to the flyfly's that are starting in May.
