boomI have a 1005 with a 31 1/2 " boom and run 710 blades with plenty of clearance. Tail blade length is 100 mm, I guess if you ran "real" long tail blades it might hit, they would need to be really long though.
You already have the 33" drive rod in the old boom and your servo rod to the tail pitch control is already set length wise so why change. The longer boom changes the ballance point some, but its not really an issue.
One other thing though the newer (MA 0866-15 I think)replacement main rotor shaft is a little longer than the original (which raises the main blades some) and gives you a little more clearance. Not sure how much but I think is about 3/8 or a 1/4 inch differance. I don't know if you have the old or the new main shaft.
