I figured it was since the other says mod1 so I'm not sure of the benefit of having this gear if it's the same material...

Just doing a bit of window shopping (giving into my heli OCD) and ran across the part number for the M1 gear by itself - HN7019A

Man, Align is making it confusing with their part numbers

HN7019 = Original stock Mod .7 164T gear
HN7019-1 = Updated stock Mod .7 164T gear
HN7019A = Mod 1 115T main gear (requires 14T mod 1 pinion)

should have a new part number for the different mod gears guys

The 7019-1 has a slightly beefier teeth and bigger diameter AFAIK - to help with the problem some were having of stripping gears in flight. Turns out this may have as much to do with the clutch/pinion moving around as anything, thus the metal pinion bearing block. I've been fine with my stock clutch bearing block and original gear - I sanded the two halves before putting it together to try and grab the pinion bearing tight. If I do strip the gear I'll replace it with a -1 part number and maybe the metal bearing block. I have no plans of buying the mod-1 gear set.
