Is anyone using the Spectrum AR7100R on the new O.S. 55. I purchased both to use on my new Hirobo SDX. I was mounting the sensor to the motor according to the instructions. I took the 2 bolts off the backplate of the motor and put the sensor into place. The plastic bracket was not even close to fitting flush to the back of the motor. I took out the tiny screw on the bracket out to try to adjust it, but it was down as far as it could go. I then tried to mount it and I did not even get close to having the bolts tight when the plastic mounting bracket broke. I called Horizon right away and described what happened. They were nice and will be sending me a new stronger bracket. I asked them if the new bracket was would help with getting it to fit, and they told me that they don't make the O.S. 55 motor and they don't know if it will fit and there is nothing they can do if it does not.

Has anyone else had this problem and if you did what did you do to make it work. I hope the new bracket will work. If it does not the only thing I can think of doing is putting washers under the bracket.

Thanks

I had to add a few washers between the mount and backplate on mine.

I also used washers and longer screws to get it to work.

Not only do the brackets brake, but if you over tighten the screws you can also strip out one of the holes in the back plate. Did that already

Thanks for the replies. I hope to get the new bracket Friday and will put some washers in there. Hopefully the new one is stronger and adjusts more. I am off work this Friday and kind of hope it rains. That way I have an excuse for staying in the house and working on my SDX instead of doing yard work. I will post again after I get the new bracket.

I went to this for holding the sensor:
http://www.readyheli.com/SPM6826-He...0R_p_36764.html

I use an aluminum mount to attach to the back of the block that is similar to the KDE mount. I like the KDE mount since it wraps around the sensor bracket instead of relying on a tiny screw going into the plastic.

I can say the plastic on the above unit is much stronger than the stock one. When I got it from readyheli I noticed that the packaging said Spektrum, but it was OEM manufactured by someone else. It's almost like they were acknowledging the original mount was made of overly cheap plastic.

Thanks Horizon (NOT)

I called last Tuesday when the sensor bracket broke. They were nice and said they would get it sent out right away. Now 6 days later and still no part and I only live about 200 miles from them. I called today and was told the part had not been sent, and was told they would send it out tomorrow and I may have it by this weekend. When I asked why it had not been sent out. The guy just hung up on me. Thanks for the SUPER CUSTOMER SERVICE.

there is two holes to put the screw into, your using the one that fits a .50 size maybe you need to use the hole for a .90 size for a 55
