Oil is not the major cost in fuel, nitro is. Oil is getting a bad rap here. Oil content doesn't seem to affect performance as much as one would think. It does seem to control combustion and smooth out these extremely high performance engines. I did some experimenting to break in a new engine some yrs ago. I was curious after a while to see how much oil I could add, because the more I added, the smoother it got. I got pretty silly and probably got to 40% oil. After that the engine just couldn't be any smoother. Most of that was hover and break in. After that, a high oil content gave me more confidence to lean the high end closer to max, and probably extends glow plug life, bearings, and cylinder life. We can buy suitable oil at a reasonable price. It does certainly help w/ lean runs and flameouts. 22-23% oil seems to be a happy spot. It does carry heat out of the combustion chamber and make the rings seal. Oil density or viscosity is a whole other subject, but trying to find the minimum is risky business.

Sit down with pencil and paper and work out from the percentage mix just how much menthanol/nitro/oil is in the mix. The monthanol will be the greater percentage and you should from there work out how much extra oil/nitro you would have to add
