Lie of the Day Archives

Lie:
I never considered myself a maverick.
--A scared-silly John McCain spins to keep his Senate seat.

Lie: The worst of the storm is over.
--President Obama in North Carolina. Your term is up already?

Lie: It's not fair. It's deeply unfair. And they should be angry about it.
--Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, in response to Matt Lauer saying that some people have lost their jobs and are still unemployed while Wall Street execs are getting big bonuses again.

Lie: With the passage of this legislation, we took a step that puts the members of Congress right up there with those who passed Social Security, Medicare, and the Civil Rights Act.
--Pelosi. Hey Nancy? The passage of this legislation puts you right up there with Hugo Chavez.

Lie: Any objective observer looking at this bill would say that this is a middle-of-the-road centrist approach.
--Obama, a president that any objective observer would say is a blatant liar.

Lie: I want all of you to understand there's no daylight when it comes to supporting you. There's no daylight when it comes to supporting our troops.
--President Obama speaking to troops in Afghanistan. This from the president who's party features the likes of MoveOn.org, Harry Reid, and John Kerry.

Lie: This is an income shift, a leveling. The maldistribution of income in America has gone up way too much. [ObamaCare] will have the effect of addressing the maldistribution of income in America.
--Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT). The coming election will have the effect of addressing the maldistribution of Democrats in Congress.

Lie: I see the way we did health care reform as a model of getting something done for the American people. We reached for bipartisanship. We tried to find common ground.
--Nancy Pelosi, who reaches for bipartisanship as much as Obama reaches for fiscal sanity.

Lie: It's absurd to think I would change my vote for a tow truck and a fence to keep deer from walking onto the runway of an airport in my district.
--Rep. Bart Stupak. It was also absurd of you to trade your vote for a meaningless piece of paper signed by the most pro-abortion president in history.

Lie: We have now enshrined, as soon as I sign this bill, the core principle that everybody should have some basic security when it comes to their health.
--President Obama, as he signed ObamaCare into law and threw out our core principle of liberty.

I saw a biography on McCain and when he was going through college, he spent most of his time partying and drinking. If it wasn;t for his father and grandfather he would have never graduated the U.S. NAval Academy, and that was from his own mouth.

He use to be a fun guy, but then he changed. Possibly from being a hostage, he did go through hell when he got caught. If you get a chance I recommend everyone watch his biography. I still do not care for him, but he did survive a screwed up capture by the enemy.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

Yeah, regardless of how his family may have got him into the Naval Academy, no one can discount his military service. He is to be respected for the sacrifice he made. No doubt about that.

But, his time in public life is short lived. He would be best to just retire before he gets voted out. Frankly, I wish he would just fade away for his own sake.
