Any chance of you going to the Huntsville Funfly in a couple weeks?

Greg Alderman and I will be there, and usually setup for doing Waivers, with a short groundschool, then the flying test.

Basically prove that you are proficient with a turbine and know how to operate, fly and auto rotate in the event of a flame-out, as outlined by Chris Bergen's link.

You should also point out that you DON'T have to do your flying test with the Turbine... You must have a 60/90 size bird... Some turbine helis you would not want to purposely auto..

While it is possible to take the flight test with a Turbine powered model, we DO discourage it.

Most people are nervous enough as it is.....

A .60 or higher sized model is sufficient for the flight testing.
