Anyone checked if v-bar using sat can have a fail safe on thrttle.

I can't get the throttle to go low on fail safe. I have binded the tx to the v-bar with throttle at low postion but when i test the fail safe by switching off the tx the throttle goes full on. How do you programme fail safe using sats?

Hi Noz,
I have the same question, here is the answer from Rainer Vetter ( Vstabi forum)

<<<< Please take note that our failsave position for throttle is -105% of the values you see in step 2 setup expert and can not be changed. So if your throttle servo works with motor off = + 100% change the linkages or use another servo brand with other directions. >>>>>

What about the other channels? How does the V Bar handle those?

I had this issue on my Trex 600Pro using a Hitech Digital throttle servo. Switching off the TX showed the VBar moved the throttle to wide open.

If I had the Hitech programmer I could have simply reversed the direction within the servo. I could not find anyway in the VBar software to change this behaviour, so I was forced to rotate the servo output arm one-eighty degrees and adjust the linkage and end points slightly. It works, but's ugly.

Key point is, I missed it during initial setup and put in a couple of flights before I spotted it. Admittedly, this is poor, but I had initially assumed that the safety shutdown feature in my governor would shut the throttle if receiver lost signal. But lost RF does not mean no signal from the VBar - just (in this case) exactly the wrong output. A way of dictating a reversal or the ability to set the shutdown state of the throttle when using Sattelite RXs would be a very worthwhile addition in the next update.

I guess though that when we have the VBar throttle governor mode, this will become integrated anyway.
