Help: Dropping the clutch bell out
I am not able to detach the starter coupler after removing the two allen screws. It is still stuck at the starter shaft. I need to take the clutch bell out for the liner replacement. Is that possible to unscrew the 4 screws on the bearing block attached to the frame to take the whole unit out i.e. starter coupler, bearing block and the clutch bell?

Thanks,

Rudy

yes. you can take the whole thing out. You'll need to loosen the control shaft and the bell cranks, so you can spread the frames far enoughHell... I can fix that.
Uh oh..

I just did the same thing last week. Pulled the whole assembly out of the frames and had to tap out the start shaft from the clutch bell.
Installed the Lynx clutch after stock broke and changed liner as well.

Is the starter coupler hollow? If yes, I can just tap it with a small hammer.

OK. I tap the starter coupler. The starter shaft and the coupler have come out, but the clutch bell is still stuck at the bearing block. Any idea?

Rudyy do what george0079 said earlier, remove the assembly from the frame.
Once it is removed you should be able to remove the liner with a Exacto blade. I used a dremel tool w/ the sander drum attachment to remove any remaining liner material.

You should be able to do this while it is still in the bearing blocks.

There is a nut above the pinion bearing on the pinion itself. You need to take the entire bearing assembly out and disassemble. The only other option would be to unscrew the clutch bell from the pinion.
