E- Conversion for Raptor 50 Titan SE ? (Would a Raptor e-conversion fit the Titan)
Hi guys

I really fell in love with Raptor 50 Titan SE, but I don't want to go nitro, electric is my field. Is there a chance that the following e conversion kit for Raptor 50 would make a fit on the Raptor 50 Titan SE ?
http://www.helihobby.com/html/raptor_heli.html

Say yes please....!!!!!!!!

In the case of "No", is there any electric conversion kit for the Titan ?

Thanks

Take a look at the e-raptor e620. You just need the main frame parts. The tail rotor, boom, belt, landing gear and everything on the main shaft minus the main gear, is the same as on a nitro raptor.

Just get a Thunder Tiger E620SE kit. The head and tail are the same as the Titan.

Can you make it more clear for me ? Its my first really big heli. My biggest is a Trex500 while my love for TT came from a Mini Titan

You suggest that I take the main gear from the E620 and fit it to the Titan ? Which are the main frame parts you mention that i need ?

Thanks Zyklon

You can download the E550/E620 manual to see the parts that you need. Basically you need the EP frame parts. If you go with aluminum battery box it’s about $100. The CF option is more expensive. The CF saves very little weight and the aluminum is very strong so most use the aluminum.

Really nice looking heli. This canopy would also fit the e550 ?

Aren't e550/620 production ceased ? I don't want to get a heli that I can't find parts, though I guess parts are the same with 50sized raptors.

I ll study the manual and cancel my snipe on an eBay auction for Raptor 50 Titan, until I see what suits me best.

That is the new optional canopy that comes pre-painted. It will fit and Raptor 30, 50, Titan, E550 or E620.

There seams to be some confusion about E550/E620 production. The word I heard it was that Thunder Tiger is still making them but the US importer has stopped importing new kits. If you look around you will see new kits offered from many non-US stores.

I think that parts will continue to be imported to the US.

It could be that there will be an EP version of the new X50 but I have seen nothing on that. The future of Thunder Tiger EP helicopters is a big mystery.

It would be nice if someone from Thunder Tiger would clear this up.

Too many speculations about the electric future of TT around the Internet, but I don't believe a thing. IMO since electrons are the future and considering TT people are not stupid we will see great e-products from them. Maybe we ll see something very innovative that we can't imagine just yet, which I hope so.

I am now looking for the e550 or e620 though it is likely I would go for the e550 as it can be flown on 6s rather than 8 or 10s of high capacity for the e620.

As for the x50 it seems to be a nice heli but other than different ccpm It doesn't seem to have any extra. Of course an e-version of that is a must nowadays.

Yes, the kit will fit the Titan. I got the one from ms-composite wich is the same. This one is for a 6mm shaft. Iam using an axi 4130/16 on 8s.

I see now that the flying season is starting in the US that most all the major dealers have E550/E620 spare parts back in stock. Looks like heliproz.com has the best price. amainhobbies.com also has all parts available.

I like Century pinions best. They are a little better quality that TT and others and come on both 5mm and 6mm bore.
