Can you twist fuel inlet line?
Can you twist the inlet line that runs to the primer bulb so it does not stick straight up? I put my long QWW thr arm on my carb and the fuel line is in a perfect line with where my thr linkage rod needs to be. I can't have it that way thats why i wa asking if the black fuel inlet line could be twisted with out breaking or leaking?

Thanks for any help

That's a good question. I would like to know the answer as well. You're talking about the 644 carb, right?Avant RC

Twisting
I was able to twist the fuel line inlet on the carb before but you have to be real careful. I held it lightly with vice grips and you have to judge twist/break force if it looks like its bending and not twisting don't force it as it can break.

The return line nipple is easily twistable.

I'd say you are asking for trouble.
If it is over molded you will break the seal even if you do succeed in getting it to turn without breaking.

Thats what i wanted to know. Why would they make the darn line come straight out like that because with the QWW Thr arm there going to get into each other. The thr linkage is going to rub the fuel line and could cause it to wear tru over time i guess i will have to keep my eye on it.

Thanks for the input

I would suggest that Walbro had NO idea that it would foul with a QWW throttle arm....

I might also suggest that QWW WOULD know there was a problem if they actually checked and tested what they did...

Ivan,
Didn't you talk about putting a ball on that throttle arm to give you some clearance ? Weren't you able to do that ?? You can even make up a little "extension" on that ball to give you even more clearance.... Additionally, you can also bend the push rod to suit in order to give you a little more clearance.....

Nothing ever falls together on its own..... as good buddy of mine, Ronnie Monroe would say, "That's modelling" !!!

I can't bend my rod because it's carbon fiber. I have my ball on the bottom of the arm i guess i could put it on top like Jimbo. But if you ask Irwin for a pic he said he's not at my becon call so i guess he is the type to sell and forget. I'm going to get it flying because i said i would and my word is my bond but if it were not for that i would stop on the project again. He was as nice as a women in a G string until i started needing help then he turned on me like a bear with cubs. I will get it to fly i can promise you that if i don't i will sell the Spectra G cheap and me parting with the G is like cutting off my right nut. If theres anyone that will help me get tr his project please do it means a lot to me? Thanks Jimbo and than Shuttlepilot and Juan it seems like your the only guys that will. Please keep the help coming and jimbo and shuttlpilot i would love to see some pics of your hhels from different angle? What gyros are you guys using? I think i'm going to use the 401 with a metal plate under it.

Thanks for all the help to the ones that will help
Ivan

PS I have a wife and 3 small kids too so i know how it is.

No problem, Ivan.......
I'm glad to help in any way I can.... Too bad you don't live close by.... if you did, we would have had that heli flying last year !!

Regarding your "carbon" push rod..... simple answer is to get rid of it !! As I see it, it's only "bling" for a throttle application. You really don't need it or the aggravation it might be causing you !!

Put your ball on top of the arm, "extend it" like I say (if you need to) and make up a conventional steel push rod so that you can put whatever bend you need in it to get the job done..... end of story !
