Rotor blades
Hi All

I havent been here for a while due to a crash a while back but flew my chinook again today for the first time in ages, yee haa. I broke the original Hirobo wood blades & after a bit of searching found some GCT blades these are ok but dont have the tip weight like the Hirobo ones but my question is has anyone tried these?? i have found in the UK by NHP but are 50mm cord ?? the price is good also but want to know if they fly OK.

48cm 'Chinook' set Ref: 3459
set of 3 carbon blades 480mm long tip to bolt hole and with a 50mm chord.

ideal for the 50 engined Hirobo Chinook $56.98

Revolution models.

Blades
I have flown these for a full season on mine and they work just fine...
You can see mine fly on the RR coverage of IRCHA 09...and these are the blades that I am using....
I will not be going back to the wood blades... the "glass" are just so much easier to set up..

HI Stan

I saw your video a while back i just cant bring myself to get into fast forward flight like that mine seems to pitch up. i am sure its just technique but affraid i am a chicken & happy at the moment doing figure eights & piroettes in front of me for now.

So you are using the NHP blades & like them thats good because the SAB's are just to damn hard to get hold of & the Hirobo ones mean i would have to sell both kidneys to buy a set. Are the NHP semi's or fully symetrical ???

Blade Info...
Hello Wayne,
The blades that you are asking about are symetrical, but they are also about 10mm wider then the stock wood blades....
So, my thought was that the added 10mm would make up for the lift lost on the 40mm stock blades... when I added the f/g blades I did not have to change any settings....
If the nose it still popping up on you (I have not gotten it to completely stop yet!! But fully controlable...) try either increasing your elev gyro gain, or, take a turn off each front blade by using the long link down to the swash... or a combination of each!!! It is always a "calculated guess" on which to adjust!!!:confused
If you are crusing around in figure 8's, and get the nose tamed down a bit, you will be right there and you are going to LIKE this one a LOT in forward flight in "Big Air"!!!!
