Are you wanting a P&S or a digital DSR? You can hack the Canon A640. Check out the chdk hack. GentLED makes a USB cable. It supports a bunch of cameras. Search the forums or go over to rcgroups.com for more info.Dan the Man

Is there a DSLR with 'Live-View' that you can feed to an FPV-type transmitter ?
Hi,

I'd like to use an entry-level DSLR with a 'live-view' facility (or equivalent) for AP. Is there one that will connect with a cheap FPV-type transmitter, so that I can see what I am about to photograph ?

Thanks,

Nick.

I use the Olympus E-510 currently. The cheapest and lightest DSLR variant to fit your needs would be the E-410. There are newer models now, E-620, etc. Anyhow a used E-410 or E-510 or E-520 may suit your needs well. It has live view that can be piped as you describe, and the stock 14-42 lens is fairly decent.
