I just replaced my bearings in my hyper50 and I am trying to get it back together and I can't get the piston ring back in the sleeve, is there a trick to this? Please let me know how to do it I have been fighting it for over an hour.

Thanks for the video I will try your way when I get home. Your bearings came off the crank shaft way easier then mine I had to heat and pound them off my crank and then pound them back on. So I have to rebreak in the motor and for how long one or two tanks or more?and the blonde said "RECTUM, Hell damn near killed em!!"

Make a ring compressor. A plastic wire wrap around the ring in the piston. Drop it down and push the piston out.

Do you have a pic of the ring compressor or explain better how do you put a wire on the ring when it is in the motor and you need to slide the sleeve down.and the blonde said "RECTUM, Hell damn near killed em!!"

Dont delete the video might need it in the future and I will bet anything it will help someone else in the future as well. As far as the music I don't mind it I would probably do the same just sit back, listen to music and work on helis. It's vids like yours that make the hobby even better so we can see and understand. It has def helped me understand what I need to do, so thanks again.

Ok here is the deal with the hyper ring there is a guide pin for the ring on the back side of the piston just a little off center to make sure the ring is in the right position to slide into the sleave if it is not lined up the little pin will stop the ring from seating and you will never get it into the sleeve once I lined them up it went in no problem. Maybe this was mentioned in the vidio I dont know I may have missed it or it is just something on the os50hyper???and the blonde said "RECTUM, Hell damn near killed em!!"

The easy way is this:

Take your finger and push the piston up with it on the lower part of the conrod. Make sure the piston ring is lined up on the roll pin in the piston groove. With the cylinder at a slight angle on the opposite side of the piston ring locator pin slide it over the piston and then straighten up the cylinder as it goes down over the piston while still maintaining pressure on the lower conrod. Once the cylinder is over the top of the piston, make sure the cylinder is rotated so it will line up with the pin in the top of the crankcase.

I just put a new ring in my YS 50 and found it easier to slip the piston with the ring on it up into the bottom of the sleeve, just until it's barely in and seated properly. Then you can take the sleeve with the piston in it and put it into the crankcase and still be able to slip the con rod over the pin. Just make sure you follow all the other good advice about keeping things lined up. May not work on other engines,,,,,QUICK! ,,,can someone turn the gravity off for just a second,,,,
