YS91st and Hatori SB-16 melt tank
I just picked up a used Hatori SB-16. I got it mounted up, but the back end of the can is touching the tank. I'm sure this will melt it if I tried to fly it?

Not sure if this is common, a quick search on google didn't find my answer. How did you resolve this?

I've had 2 of those setups and I've never seen this before. Sounds like you might have something bent...

A couple of pictures would be great.
Hell... I can fix that.
Uh oh..
Nope.
It's ***ked!!!

I had this same problem before so I went to a CY MP5 and it has been great. If you run it you will need a spacer for it. I may have an extra I can send you free of charge to help you out. It is about a 1/2 inch and it will get it out away from the tank. I just traded mine cause I liked the MP5 a little better. Shoot me a PM if you want the spacer.Fly it like you stole it!

Spacer
Will this work on a 90?

I looked at my sb-16 and compared it with my sb-19. The sb-19 has a much longer neck, witch allows clearance from the tank.

How are others not seeing this? I would expect this on any 91st/sb-16 combo???

As you can see I tried puttin a CF plat between them. That melted too and into the tank. It put a hole through it. I was able to auto it in with out issue.

It looks like the tube that comes off
at a 90deg from your main pipe and has
the plate that mates up to the engine
header is shorter than normal. I measure
28mm from where the header bolts to your
engine to the long section of your exhaust
pipe. Here is a pic of my Srimok with a SB16FH
mounted. Check the distance between the white
lines. Should be real close to 28mm.

If your pipe measurements are off, let me
know, I've got this pipe I will let you
have for a reasonable price.

I searched through hatori usa http://www.hatoriusa.com/?page_id=2

if you look and compare then necks of the sb16 and 19 the 16 has a much shorter neck?

I don't see two versions of the sb16 with the long neck?

I have 3 SB16FH and 2 SB19FH and they
have the same length neck. I think you
got a pipe someone repaired and shortened.
You should have no trouble with the SB16FH.

I had the same issue with mine so it is a problem. There is no way that many pipes have been repaired. I will send out the spacer in the morning to you. Problem will be solved!Fly it like you stole it!
