Got my parts yay. Thanks to AHF-USA for sending not only the autohub I needed but the whole hub assembly including main and tail drive gears.

The good news is I have a check coming next week that should cover everything else I need. The bad news is I broke my other toy (turbocharged Iroc) and I have to decide which I want to get going first.

Still thinking about the servos. I'd more or less settled on the 610's at 8v but then that new post came up this morning about someone smoking all three of theirs. I keep thinking it would be much easier to just go with the HV JR's. Pay once now or pay many later as they say.

Personally I would go for (and use myself) Futaba BLS451's. They are much better value than the JR HV's. I have ran mine on 8V in 2 helis for hundreds of flights without issue.

They can be had from Tower for cheap as

Yeah I'd almost trust those 451's more than the 610's too, as I've had great luck with Futaba servos.

Really do wish Futaba had HV rated servos. The only thing making me hesitate on the JR HV's is that they are... JR

At least I know what gyro I'm getting now.. just ordered a 520 with BLS251 servo! Next up will be the engine and then the cyclic servos.

Either from http://www.ahf-usa.com or http://www.newenglandheli.com, which apparently are more or less the same people as I understand it.

Missing parts definitely suck but maybe on the next kit there will be some extra parts for someone else. All in all, AHF-USA took care of my missing parts so I'm happy.

Other good news is my Iroc problems were caused by two burnt plug wires so my Aeolus budget is back on track! Hoping to be in the air by the middle of the May. The weather has been terrible here for past few weeks so I'm not missing much yet.

Ok, everything is on the way! Here is the final setup:

R6008HS receiver straight 2s
3 X BLS451 servos on cyclics
1 X S3155 (narrow) servo on throttle
GY520/BLS251
Radio South in-line 5.1 volt regulator on tail servo
Switch Glo Pro
Multigov Pro
YS56
AHF 50 Muffler for now (will see how it does, seems smallish)

EC3 Connectors on battery and power input lead, will use as the switch

This thing should be pretty light with the narrow throttle servo, no regulator and I went middle of the road on the 2700 pack. I wasn't sure of these Aeolus helis tend to be nose heavy or tail heavy so we'll see!

Got the first flights on it today. Cyclics definitely much faster but it flew heavier than I expected from a 'light weight' 50. I haven't weighed it yet but I'm hoping it's light.

Right now without it being dialed in, running rich and a conservative headspeed of around 1800 for break-in, it feels like my old R50v2 but with faster cyclic rates. That is comparing it to the R50 being well broken in, dialed in and runnint 2050 on the head.

So tomorrow I'm going to finish up my first gallon and get the headspeed up around 2100 and see what happens. My gov isn't hooked up yet because I broke the sensor but also I like to have a good throttle curve under it in the first place.

What kind of headpseed are you guys running? I see the 56 is rated up to 20,000 rpm which is 2350 on the head. I figure somewhere in the 2100 range sounds right.
