Fury 55 Crash Test Results?
Anyone that has crashed their 55, could you post what things are breaking? Are servo gears any more at risk from direct to swash setup?

Mine met mother earth in a tail slide gone bad !! Hit tail first then slammed over backwards into the ground. I did strip the tail servo 9254 but a cheap repair. Boom, supports, vertical fin, main shaft, tail output shaft, and one landing gear - and of course tail and main blades were toast. To my pleasant surprise none of the cyclic servos suffered damage ( 8717's) in spite of links popping off during the impact! Frames remained intact despite a high speed hit !! Considering the forces involved I was very pleased with the minimal amount of damage.Problems ? -- Mine are flown in fresh daily

Everyone's auto sig is a little unsettling in this thread.

That was one amazing crash report, certainly sounds promising although I will try to avoid em!

Thanks I appreciate the support! Welp if I flew it today I was risking a Crash Test Result for sure.

I took a look at the boom clamp and it was almost closed, took the boom out and there is a small crease where the aft clamp in the pod sits. Not worth chancing it so will have to wait till I can get another boom.

Got about 5-6 pulls on the BW Stratus today so was easy to keep the Jones away. Still love to fly that one.

Figured I would fess up and admit to that mess up.

Got a boom on the way so will be all good to go for next weekend!

Stay Tuned...
