OS 91 HZ pumped vibrations
dear all !

well...i've just started to fly my new 700LE with my HZ-PUMPED (only one galon of fly)
and seems like the HZ just over-vibration...
i gets too much vibrations than my friend's do with his 700&SZ.
i use an ALIGN PIPE, built it very well and all thing seems to be OK...
i swiched the pipe with my friend's HATORI - now its alittle bit better but still not as smooth as appropriate.
does the HZ just more shake than the SZ or should i wait till i tune it to maximum preformance or even should i look for other cause?
thank you all guys !

Actually, the HZ was designed to have reduced vibrations versus the SZ. I've tunedd a few HZ's recently and it's pretty smooth in comparison. OutHouse is correct, I'd double check your heli and if your HZ is new I'd readjust it's fuel settings, it could be that it's too rich. Is this vibration, is it more of a wobble or kick or a shake?

The 700 doesn't like low headspeeds at all and if that's how it's set, it tends to develope a "wobble"in a hover. The wobble can be caused by poor needle valve settings or just a low gov setting. Try leaning in your engine a bit and raising your gov's headspeed setting and see if it improves. Of course that's assuming the rest of your heli is healthy. I run the SZ-pumped in mine so I know how much of a pain these engines are to tune with the pump. Good luck!

Can you describe the Vibratiion?

Okay, so it sounds like your 700 is just osilating at low rmp. I would say to increase your idle up setting to about 1700-1750. But, the fact that you say it does it in Hold when the head is spooling, you might have a head imbalance. Double check your paddles again and make sue they have the exact same distance from the cage and also that they are at 0 degrees. Are your blade bolts really tight? Good luck.Mellisa

1st - thanks ,
- blade bolts not too tighten.
- paddles are at 0 deg and at the same distance from the cage.

again, i only have these while at idle RPM on HOLD - on the ground -> holding my heli's head so noting accept the motor/clucth/fan is rotating.

do this test in your own 700N :
start your motor, stable idle RPM so the motor don't trying to spin the head but still safe to fly, divert the heli on the left skid, take a screw-driver and hold it dainty with 2 fingers and see
what is the oscillation amplitude...
mine is like 2 inches from the skid to the maximun-sick !

i'll check for engine loosen screws.

CHEERS !
