Rave frame, fragile?
I crashed my mini-v rave for the first time yesterday. I went skids in from about 5 feet up into soft grass. It broke the heli in 4 parts. The frame in 2, and the boom and tail. Is this common to have this much damage on this heli from a small crash?

I have a 450v2 that I have THOROUGHLY trashed on, and broke the frame once or twice in a couple spots out of hundreds of crashes, , but never fully in half.

The kicker is the parts cost to fix it again. 31$ for just 1 side frame. Im not going to fix it, its not worth it. I can practically smash my logo 500 cheaper then the rave.

All depends on the crash. I crashed my Rave a bunch of times. No frame damage yet.Wolves don't lose sleep over the opinions of sheep

If you spend $8.99 on the frame stiffeners the problem should be resolved in case of another incedant. Curtis was aware of an area that was less resiliant during impact so he fixed it by providing these stiffeners. Even prior to installing mine I had a boom strike and the heli did the flying handgernade and fell over 50 feet in several pieces and my frames were intact.

Thanks, Ill try the frame stiffeners.

Dont get me wrong, I like how it flys. I was just curious if I had the unlucky crash, or if this is common.

I have another airframe to swap stuff over to, so this one will sit until I get cheap parts. Ironically, the white gears are fine, and have always worked fine for me, but my new one has grey, so I get a bonus upgrade.

Ironhide, how I spend my cabbage is all on me.

I had the same problem! My first crash I broke two frames on a very hard landing. Bought the frame stiffeners and problem was solved. I would recommend them.
