tail servo started smoking and esc is really hot
okay on my trex 450 sport i have the super combo..i replpaced the tail servo with another ds420 and i had a few hovers with it, now all of a sudden i turned my tx on and would plug the battery in and it wouldnt fully connect sometimes from tx to rx, then it would almost bounce into connection and then my tail servo was not workin i left it on as i looked at it and the tail servo was smoking, and my esc is veryy hot not like normal..i think i need a 60 esc not this 35 since im runnin a 14t pinion..idk

which gyro? You may have it set on 760 frame rate which will smoke most servos. could also be running the gain way too high or have a lot of drag in the control systems. 35A ESC should work just fine, most 450's I see run the Align or other brand ESC's in the 35-40A range.

check the settings on your GP750. It needs to be setup for a 1520 frame rate or you'll kill another servo. Also check your gain setting and make sure it's in the ball park for right.

I read the other post you posted about the tail shaft being "sticky." Did you have a crash and bent the tail shaft. If yes, the bent tail shaft may had caused binding to the tail slider and consequently wagging of the tail and binding of the tail servo.

Yeah I would change the tail servo.I had the DS420 of my 450 sport with no issues but some people had problems, sounds like the servo took a crap. The Futaba S9257 is a awesome tail servo but you'll need a stepdown for it as its a 4.8V only servo..600LE,OS55,OS PowerBoost pipe,Align 610's,Spartan
