tail wag on my 450 but its not the gain
okay i replaced my tail servo with the align ds420(same as before), and now in hover im getting left to right wag in the same motion..its not the gain tho because i messed with the gain alot and nothing changed...i even got a little vibration in there every once in a whil it would start vibrating..my tracking is good too...but really i just do not get this wag idk...

i even put in rate mode and still had that problem of the slight wag back and forth

it feels like the shaft that the tail is on is not sliding very well...ex:when i just grab my tail servo arm and move it, it kinda sticks on the tail side...not sure what to do

Disconnect the tail push rod and move the lever on the gear box. See if it binds. If it binds there go through checking each moving joint till you find the source of the binding. My v3 tail was sticky. I got loctite in between the screw and short bushing in the pitch links of the tail.

You say changing the gain did nothing? No change in response? Could you get it to wag more?

BTW, check for a Burr or a locktite booger on the tail shaft where you feel schtick.

with the gain i could get it to wag more but nothing less...even in rate mode..it does feel like there is a litle loctite or something stuck on the tail shaft, i cleaned it all out tho

What gyro are you using?
How long is the servo arm?
Are you using 100% of the servo travel?

ya i have 100% servo traverl..i have the gp750 with the align ds 420 im about to order 2 more cuz i burned that one out

ya i just took it all apart and the tail shaft is not bent..i just loosened up the collar screw right there on that t type arm and now everything is moving fine...i think thats y the tail servo burned out too because it had to use too much of it to get the tail to move..idk tho but i ordered 2 more ds420s ill let u know when they get in if this corrects the tail wag it prob. will cuz now it feels like my 250 how smooth on the shaft it is...well see
