I recently converted my Beam and went with the Mikado 450 class Head and swash driver. Perfect fit for the Beam. For use with 5mm main shaft.

Dan - I used the Mini Titan CNC metal head and grips with a Skookum SK-360 with great results. Even converted the main rotor to CCW just like the 1:1 Cobra's have.

Boyd,

I looked through your gallery. Do you happen to have a picture of your handy-work?

I went with the Mikado 450 head and driver from Ready Heli. I had to convert the swashplate to standard size balls to fit the driver and I used T-Rex 450 links and rods to connect the head to the swashplate. I used the Mini VBar and changed the servos from Hitec HS-65HBs to the digital version which is the HS-5065MG. I flew it for the first time last weekend in a gusty 20 kph wind and was just tickled at the way it performed. It flys like a 50 size now.

I did and had to scrap it for the Mikado head. I couldn't get the correct geometry. The linkage balls off of the balde grips are too close to the centerline of main shaft. If I remember correctly they were not out any further than the stock fb blade grips. Here are some pictures from my gallery. Hopefully you can see what I mean. If you are dead set on the outrage PM me because I will unload it cheap. The first two pics are the Mikado and the third is the outrage. These pictures were not taken for this comparision. Let me know if you would like me to take clearer pictures.

Hahaha, first time I read this, I thought you were saying you had to scrap the MIKADO head because of geometry. Phew. You were talking about the Outrage head. The Mikado head is fantastic!
