Gonna try it on a 13t in about an hour. Hopefully that's the problem.

Kontronik, I am running Jive on my 90 machine so I could not resist so I put a Jive 60+ LV on my Rave. A little on heavy side, but what a governor. It is holding the revs as in a vice.

4S, -10 @2900 rpm and FLB. This thing is awesome.

Happy Easter

I thought about buying that one. But it's way too heavy!! The Jazz 55LV is perfect. Gov mode is just as good on this little heli.

Results with a 13t
At 75% throttle curve with around 3100HS my highest peak was 65.93 amps

At 85% throttle curve with around 3300HS my highest peak was 62.47 amps

Pulling more amps with a 13t at a lower HS??

But the esc did not cut out this time. It's a little warmer on the 13t but not hot. So, maybe I'll fly it like this a for a little while until I get a Jazz 55LV.

But now I've managed to create a nasty tail vibe. Any answers on that?? Tail fin vibrates like a half inch wide. Head is perfect!!

Excess head speeds can bend the tail shaft on any helicopter. For every 1 RPM you add to the head, you add 4.6 to the tail. 3500 on the head is 16,100 on the tail. Thats spinning pretty fast! Over the years I have seen a few tail gear boxes explode from excessive head speeds. Bleieve it or not, there is a point where to much is simply to much. The tail output shaft would be my first suspect.

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

I just changed it a week ago. It's brand new!! The new style gears. Should there be sideways play in the shaft after installation?
