600Le- My Main Shaft One Way Locks Up, Can't Figure It Out.
I have re-aligned bearing blocks so main shaft drops in all 3 bearings, but between 1 - 5 flights it locks up.
I have to drive main shaft out, and then work one way to get it loose. I have also replaced one way as well as sleve that goes between one way and main shaft.
Any Ideas?
This has been going on since I built kit, and is getting old.

hi. are you using grease or oil? I haven't had any issues with lockup (knocking on wood), but I would recommend using tri-flow oil instead of the supplied grease. I remove the main gear every 50 flts or so, and drop a few drops into the one-way, never had a lockup this way.

ps: if you do decide to switch to running oil, make sure you clean all that grease out before doing so.

OWB locking up is really common on the 600E's mine locked up for a year using white lith. I cleaned mine with brake cleaner and then used a little clear lube supplied in the kit and now it never locks up.

different oils and grease make all the difference

Did you buy your heli used?

The (old)one-ways on the 600's locked up bad. You had to change out the oneway. Grease will not do anything for you. It is my understanding that the (OLD)one-ways were off by a few fractions of a milimeter. I had to use a crowbar to get mine unstuck from the mainshaft.

I thought that align fixed that issue?

Sounds like they are having issues again.

Check you oneway bearing, and look inside the cage with the bearings in it. If you notice that one of the bearings looks loose in the cage, toss the one way. It is pretty much dead and it will just keep locking up on you.

Sounds like a QC issue to me.
