I have one heli with each and so far I have no issues with either.

If I ran my tank extra low I would trust the fuel magnet a little more I suppose but the OS design is no slouch and much much better then a standard clunk. The only negative of the fuel magnet is the yearly replacement of the foam.

The OS bubbleless clunk is not just another clunk thats for sure, and I have a header tank and I see no reason to use it with this bubbless clunk or fuel magnet.

I use the bubbles clunk. It is not just a clunk. It seems to work.

Not sure who sponsors Bert C. now days, but I'm sure it is reflected on his smack talk. Talking about someone going commercial with it. Is he making you pay for his opinions at funflys, too?

don't be hating on Smack Talk, Smack Talk is the best series of instructional videos ever, period. and they are not charging much for it, I don't even know if they are breaking even on the equipment they have been buying and the time they spend on it.

I sure will if the filter gets stoped up it will starve it for fuel and burnt it up also. I had a filter on my 91SR and it stopped up and caused the engine to run lean. On my 55's i dont have a filter and it stopped up the regulator and caused it to run lean.........

It was in a Vibe 90SG with a YS91SR. I also had a fuel magnet in an Aurora with a OS 91HZ. Defueling the ones with the fuel magnet sucked the tiny bits of foam back into my fuel and then it stopped up the regulators on my 56 which have a bubbleless clunk......Fortally i caught it before i ran any of them hot,all of a sudden all my helis started leaning out because of all the foam crap....YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE..IF YOU LIVE IT RIGHT THATS ALL YOU NEED

Yes i did all supposidly right things,i have used them before and not had the problems like i had lately. It might be a bad batch of foam but i am done with them, they aren't worth the problems they cause when the OS clunk works great and gets all the fuel out of my tank.YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE..IF YOU LIVE IT RIGHT THATS ALL YOU NEED

that is really odd, I had the same fuel magnet for over a year before I decided it was time for a replacement and it was still perfectly in tact, if the bubbleless clunk is working for you though stick with it

Here is my major problem with paying.
1) If it wasn't for the fans he would be just another pilot. I know a few ppl like me feel the same way.
2) He is sponsored so he get a kick back from them anyways, does he really needed nickel and dime his fans too.
3) Not going to say the name but most will know who i'm talking about. Has about 1000 better knowledge base and its FREEEEE.
4)I do believe he has a bios option on certain topics. Example is
http://www.bertrc.com/archives/573
after few day the form was changed and made readonly. And btw here is a response from Futaba on that video.
http://www.futaba-rc.com/
watch the Webmercials

Guys don't get me wrong i think he a great pilot and a person. But i did loose some respect for him with paying for his vids.

Geting back on the topic i think i'm going to use a Bubbleless clunk.

I have used the OMI fuel magnets myself for a long time now and think they're great except that I also hate having to deal with the possibility of the sponge falling apart if I don't refill my tank at the end of the day. I don't like to store my helis with any fuel in them, since fuel is hygroscopic.

Anyways... before switching over to the OS bubbleless, I was wondering what you guys thought of possibly, at the end of the day, using a small air pump to simply pump out any exhaust gases from the tank, thus eliminating the need to keep the OMI submerged and increasing the longevity of the foam. Do you think it could work??? Just a thought.
