The vibe 50 is a great heli but here in the UK parts are very expensive. Deff makes the velocity the choice for me. Just my thoughts...I would rather be flying than.......

I have not flown the MA but I have flown the velocity and I own a Vibe. I really like the solid feel of the vibe. the velocity flies very nicely but does not feel as conected and solid as the vibe. the vibe is also the best quality machine.

Here is the problem with these kind of posts.

People are not going to say anything derogatory about the heli they just spent there hard earned money on, it basically comes down to what you can afford and find a product that fits into your budget, you wouldn't go out and buy a Ferrari and then ask how much its going to cost to get an oil change done.

Things that everyone considers when making that purchase, how much of my hard earned cash am I going to lay out, what is it going to cost me to build and rebuild because it is inevitable that you will crash unless you have a hanger queen and never fly it, and also what are my buds down at the local flying field flying??? where can I get parts easily, if I crash during the week I want it back together so I can attempt to tear it up again on the weekend.

You really want to feel how locked in a Vibe 50 is, stick a Velocity 50 head on it and then give it a test flight, been there and done that

The Velocity spanks every other 50 I've flown, including T600, Vibe 50 and Knight 3D. Don't post in the Outrage forum and expect unbiased opinions though.

Nope not biased, just reporting the facts

I've got over 20 heli's in the shop from Audacity, Century, T-Rex, RJX, and Outrage, and yes we have flown both the Vibe 50 and Vibe 90, I'm not saying the Vibe isn't an excellent machine.

50 sized...
While I have never owned a Velocity...I flew one a few times(not enough to accurately talk about though)...I have owned and flown most every other 50 out there...including the Vibe 50's/trex 600's...raptors...evos..Centuries...etc...

MY FAVORITE....still the RJX 50 ...that thing flew SO nice...I used to fly it back to back with my Vibe 50's and Trex 600's....and sold them off way before the RJX ...I just stopped flying nitro so I traded it off recently...and got an electric RJX...

RJX is terrible for parts support but I still like their machines...

I hear a lot of good things about the Velocity and I think it's a pretty cool looking machine...so when they come out with the electric version(Fusion) I will definitely be giving it a try...

Just my .02$

The Velocity is the most agile of the three helicopters (Vibe50, Rex600 and Velocity50). Install the OS55/Rossi57/KME60 and use longer blades (620/630mm) it really comes alive. In addition to the flyability, parts are reasonably priced and customer support from Outrage is top notch.

If I were a hobby shop owner, I'd have all 50 size helicopters available for test drive. Of course if you crash you pay for the parts plus a flat repair rate.

If you want to understand what "it tracks like its on rails" really means get a Vibe 50.

I saw a Velocity 50 for the first time at the Tyler fun fly last weekend, nice looking machine. The head seemed tighter than the head on my 600N, but the 600N head gets sloppy quick. And you really need metal blade grips and stiffer dampers on the 600N.

Just my casual observation.

I will start with the fact that I am an outrage rep, however in the interest of helping I will try to be as unbiased as I can be. I have owned and flown the Vibe quite a bit. The Vibe is great if you are flying big and fast it tracks very well and holds a true line. The issue I had is weight, it is a little heavy. The parts quality is good and everything stays tight. The Velocity also flys very true but is lighter so when you want to get low and bang it performs better. the parts quality is very good too. Some have had issues in the beginning but all seems fixed now, I will add my machine is H.C.'s pre-pro. heli and probably has more flights on it than any other out there, and all is still tight and holding up. So just look at you're flying style, local support, and what YOU like and go for it. As long as it has rotor blades instead of wings it's all good !

I've had a few 600N's, 2 Vibe 50's and now 2 Velocity 50's. The Velocity 50's with the new 55/56/57 motors really shine IMO compared to the Vibe50's I have, and I won't even put the 600N's into the same comparison b/c IMO they are not a good tracking heli, in my experience anyway. The Vibe 50 feels very locked in, fun to fly, but a bit heavy. The tail also doesn't feel as locked in as my Velocity, which feels about 99% as locked in as the vibe in tracking, and that 1% extra for the Vibe I would attribute to the added weight of the machine helping it hold a line, especially in wind. The Velocity is more fun to fly for me, and to me it gets the most flights out of any of my helis, even my 90's(TREX700's and Aurora). I'll be selling most of my other helis to concentrate on flying one type of airframe and try to get better vs collecting more helis and wrenching all the time like I've done in the past .

The MA55 I think looks good, but IMO the price is high and IMO I would rather have a TT vs a belt drive, no matter what they say about how good the MA is.

I think you would be happy with any of the 3, but IMO the Velocity is the best bang for the buck, but I'm biased in owning 2 and loving them .
