Piro rate seems very slow on my 250
I have about a dozen flights on my 250SE now and starting to get a little more comfortable with it, I was checking the piro rate today while flying and it seems slow to me. I have my Gyro gain set to the point where it just starts to wag and then backed off until it just stops. My travel is adjusted to prevent binding and I am on the inner-most hole of the servo arm. I'm running the GP780 Gyro with the DS420 servo. No exponential, no throttle/rudder mixing.
Any suggestions to get faster piro rate? My throttle is set for 80% mid stick in idle-up 1 and 100% flat in Idle-up 2.

Increase your rudder channel endpoint in the Tx 5-10 points at a time and try again.

When you say you have your travel adjusted to not bind, I'm assuming you did this with the gyro and not the TX endpoint adjust correct?

Correct, adjusted the travel limits on the Gyro. I checked my TX, travel adjust is set for 100% on each end. I will set it to 105% and give it a try and if it helps I will adjust to my liking. I will let you know how it works out, ThanksImpacting the earth one heli at a time

Thanks Melnic, that did the trick. It piros great now, apparently it just needed a little more input. I ended up setting it to 110% travel on the rudder. I'm getting about 2.5 to 3 revolutions per second now where I was getting just over 1 before.Impacting the earth one heli at a time

The rudder endpoint settings control the maximum piro rate. The gyro uses the endpoint value to determine just how fast it will let the heli spin. The rudder endpoints no longer determine how much travel the servo has, that is taken care of by the gyro and its LIMIT function.-----

set the travel to as high as you can go. then turn it down via dual rates (piro rate). thats what i do.
