New Logo 600
Just had to share my excitement with you guys as I've been wanting to build this helicopter for a few years now. Finally after taking a short break with the 400, I have a new 600 to play with!

Sorry this is not a very sharp picture, but it gets the point across.

Thanks guys!

Darren, not sure if you're going to be able to handle this thing. It's my new 12S monster! BTW, what's a flybar?

Not sure Anthony. I'm been too concentrated with the build to get a taste.

For now I'm running some 30C 3300's but the power I got from those packs in my 400 was amazing so I'm not worried about them being 30C on the 600.

Also I'm trying out the 4035-560 on 11t with a Jive 120+ HV.
I may end up trying out the Pyro but I think what I already have should be plenty of wicked for one machine.

LW, the logos are another breed man! Whether you get the 600 or something else, you can't go wrong.

I ordered a trio of extra main gears as I usually have a hard time keeping them in working condition

So what you saw was one of those gears and also a pinion.

I would have actually done a build thread but unfortunately I've already built the helicopter. Logo's seem to go quicker than any other machine due to their simplicity. With that being said, this kit was almost too tight. It makes for a frustrating build but a longer lasting and better flying helicopter.

As far as servos, I've went with 8717's on the cyclic and a 9256 on the tail. The 8717's were leftover from my old Stratus and the 9256 is simply the tail servo I've been using for the past few years due to it's excellent precision and holding power.

I'll post some more pictures in a minute but all it appears I have left is to solder up the ESC and setup the linkages among a few other small things.

with that motor and those packs your not likely to get very good flight time, but it should be one hell of a ride!

i like the new 45c 4400's or 5000's.. massive power and good flight times!

Strike that - just realized you are talking 12s not 10s.. though isnt a 560kv motor a bit hot for 12s?

Yeah, the 560 was meant for 10s but please don't tell Scorpion.

I'm looking to get some crazy fast performance out of this so I'm not too worried about running too much power through the motor. With my 400 I ran way more power through the -1400 than what it was rated to and it never became an issue other than getting a bit hot.

Mikel, there was one point that I was attempting to install the belt pulleys into the frame and they just wouldn't go. It was almost like the pins that they ride on were taller than the slot they were designed to fit into. As soon as I verified my alignment was correct, out came the exacto and I began to scratch at the plastic until the pulleys went in.

Not a biggie and in fact preferred but it sure made for a slower build.

I also find the pins on the pulley are a tight fit in the frames, got to file the frames slightly.

Only hitch in the build would you believe, and it's the 2nd step after sanding the frames lightly .

Still need to setup the head, tidy a few wires, ground the boom and make all the linkages. But those tasks shouldn't take long at all.

Oh and the chocolate was delicious.

Motor shaft
Do yourself a favor and cut the extra shaft off that motor...I never used to and one day the pack came loose on one of my machines...and the shaft drilled a nice hole in my new hyperion pack after some inverted flight

now I cut all the extra shafts on my logos...

Looking good man. You'll definitely want to cut that motor shaft down to protect the battery in a crash. Plus it just looks nicer without that thing sticking out. Speaking of the motor shaft, did you make a flat spot for the set screw?

I notice that your front landing struts are in the wrong location. They will need to move to the forward set of mounts on the frame. You have them in the Logo 500 holes.
